Decided to try again #Sanctum2 too, since I had fun with #Sanctum 1.
It’s… different.
It has a lot of cool design decisions that make coop play more fun, such as having multiple cores to defend, or a lot more specialization between players, or bosses that tear down through your towers instead of just staying there and tanking hits…
But for every step forward, it seems they’ve taken a step back?
Enemies seem to focus much more on killing you, which is unusual for a tower defense game. The UI might be one of the clunkiest ones I’ve ever seen in a videogame. Experience points requiring you to unlock most stuff is annoying and can easily make the game tedious. Movement feels super stiff too…
