In what seems to be becoming a habit, I have finished a game only days before it leaves #GamePass. This time it's #TellingLies, which I didn't notice until I was halfway through #Immortality, also by Sam Barlow. They are unusual games, and not everyone will like searching through video clips or going down rabbit holes to find new links, but it's right up my street. I love the 'aha' moment when a new piece of the puzzle fits into place.

Imagine making a movie. Now make two more, each with a different theme and identity. Now take each frame, map the important objects, and turn it into a video game. The sheer insanity to want to even attempt a project of this scope. And yet, Half Mermaid completely nails almost all aspects of it. IMMORTALITY follows the unique idea of Sam Barlow's previous games "Her Story" and "Telling Lies" of following the story non-linearly by piecing together a narrative jigsaw clip by clip.
