I got about a dozen people throughout the day who wanted to take a picture with me (which definitely scratched an itch in my attention slut brain) - sometimes they asked even if they didn't recognize me! But there were a handful of Sailor Moon superfans (some girls, some gay guys) who did recognize me and those were such fulfilling interactions, coz they'd never seen anyone do a Fish Eye cosplay and they were really impressed with mine 

It came time for the cosplay showcase and I knew that Comic Con would livestream it, so I sent the link to friends and family in the US just in case they wanted to watch. @eri was so sweet that she not only tuned in, but recorded the livestream so she could clip me walking on the stage  The competition was fierce (the winners sooo deserved to win) so I didn't win any prizes, but it was a lot of fun to participate  

For the future, if I take this to another con, I want to do the stitching with more care, make/get some green gloves for Fish Eye's green hands (with red acrylic nails attached), and finally get the hair and jewelry accessories she has.

Although I will say, I had my teal hair tied back with a white bow in the style of the episode where Fish Eye goes human girl to join a ballet troupe so she can seduce the ballet instructor... and I tied it with ribbon that came tied as a bow that came with my pre-ordered Wuthering Heights soundtrack by Charli XCX et al.

Evil chaos twink being a Charli XCX stan? Like obviously biologically yes

To get a smooth edge for that I decided I'd sew mirror image pieces right sides facing each other and then invert them to be shiny side out. Could've done a better job on those stitches, but I was doing this the night before (I've had a very busy month...) and with how many pieces there were to make I barely got it done before the morning, so I took what I could get.
