🚔 🚨 Today is “Blackout Wednesday,” one of the year’s heaviest drinking days in Ohio. From Nov. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, departments with the Ohio Department of Public Safety will be doing extra patrols and investigating stores and liquor establishments for violations.
Be safe everyone.
From OIU, "The Ohio Investigative Unit (OIU) is reminding citizens and liquor permit holders to prioritize safety and celebrate responsibly during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday period. This high-risk period runs from Wednesday, Nov. 26, through Sunday, Nov. 30, and includes “Blackout Wednesday,” one of the year’s heaviest drinking days and when vigilance is most critical."
"OIU agents will be conducting high-visibility enforcement and compliance checks, specifically targeting increased risks associated with holiday gatherings and activities. Agents may charge individuals and businesses criminally, as well as issue administrative citations against liquor permits for violating Ohio’s Liquor Laws. Agents also investigate weapons, violence, and other criminal activity related to liquor establishments."
This is scary as hell.
How to watch for real drowning signs. Hint: It's not loud thrashing.
Well I am no purist here, and I updated my task lighting, it was poor. Poor lighting leads to me getting a fuggrineedle through my thumby which as one may observe, is, shall we say, well warn. That matters not yall, don't be daft and use some sense in your work. Ok, see? #saftey lessons do not need be boring, as shown above.
Onward, the foot pedal makes it much simpler to go at the curves without readjusting as much. Reason is, you vary your stitches more, the mote you shift and flub around. Longer, aligned sections help very much, requiring both hands if you aren't pinning. I rarely pin since I don't mind a little whimsey in my stitch personally, but would be carfullerish if I was doing showy worl, just am not there yet.
