@ryanschultz @timhollo maybe it is ***just*** another pessmistic apocalypse prediction...
IMO the most important message would be already in the begining of the introduction...
```
Target audience is the educated but busy / swamped American worker who reads the occasional article on climate change and concludes that everything must be under control or else there would be urgent alarms going off right? That was basically me until a couple years ago when a period of unemployment gave me the opportunity to dive into the science and start evaluating the conclusions for myself.
```
An average person busy with paying off mortgage, securing pension and planning vacation would probably never take the climate crisis seriously before it is already too late. And those who are busy with building wealth would never take responsibility at least it has tax advantage..
maybe #UniversalBasicIncome + #sabbaticals for social and environmental #engagement could let more people more active to make more impact.

When discussing sabbaticals, summer breaks, flexible schedules, & academic freedom, some non-academics aren't just jealous, but want to take them away from "over-entitled" academics. Instead, I think it's more important to extend those privileges to everyone. I think everyone deserves regular #sabbaticals & the freedom to speak their minds, free of retribution.
It's important for those with privileges to not selfishly defend them, but to advocate for everyone's access to them.
