It's been overcast, drizzling, and often raining, for three days in a row now. I'm stoic about it (if sleepy), but my plants just love it, especially clover, dandelion and calendula that I grew into seedlings and then put into a pot. I pulled out all the weeds before doing that, and turned the soil, but of course tiny weedlings started appearing on the second day after that. I want to at least be able to tell mine from theirs ;)
Anyway, clover and calendula were happy enough, but dandelion apparently suspected it wasn't Spring. Until that cooler, wet day, when it grew at least 2cm by the evening, and has been growing since. I added more calendula directly into soil, and I think they all emerged by now too.
And my sourdough starter that I have mixed 3 days ago, have been reluctant till this morning, when it almost literally told me that you humans have evolved past their prime, and all mushrooms and plants thrive in this weather, and where is that wholegrain rugbrød you've been planning, exactly?
If you also want a discard-free sourdough starter, here's the best video:
https://youtu.be/_q61EdnpxuYAnd this is rugbrød but I'll skip the barley malt syrup, and will source roasted malt powder instead.
