In my previous post I mentioned Japan. Actually #Burlesgeek did a Japan themed show once and I made this #Gundam #RX78-2 costume for the occasion. Took me nearly two months to make. Thankfully I had some previous experience because I also did a #Transformers #OptimusPrime costume for my partner and we did a duo together on the song PonPonPon by Kiyari Pamyu Pamyu. We did the choreography from the music video. It's hard as hell to move in those things by the way. We went on to do this act again at the #BagelBurlesqueExpo and also for the 20th dragiversary of local drag queen and celebrity Mado Lamothe at the Montreal Just for Laughs festival. We performed at Place des Arts on an outdoor stage in front of several thousands of people. Man what a rush that was. I can only wish that we could do this number in Japan.

Finished building the Real Grade RX-78-2 version 2.0. Really enjoyable and satisfying construction that’s solid while still being very pose-able. Well worth your consideration.

Just building this single leg took me three hours and nearly 50 different plastic parts. The level of detail and articulation is pretty phenomenal.

Started work on another gunpla. This is the Real Grade (RG) version of the RX-78-2 that was released earlier this year. It’s a much nicer build experience compared to the bigger MG kit next to it. Definitely the one I’d recommend, and cheaper too!
