Good morning, Glasgow. Just as I was starting my day this morning, I came across this red-tailed bumblebee that was doing the same. I don't know what the bee has in store for the rest of the day, but I'm off for a long run before it gets either too warm or too wet (number 55 out of a target of 60 monthly half marathons in row).

I love the way this decorated bollard appears to be jogging along the Clyde Walkway in central Glasgow, like so many of the rest of us do! It's been painted by Negative Destination.
Given all the sights to see across the city, I really don't unserstand why Glasgow doesn't have a full marathon any more (the last one was run in 1988) as many smaller towns and cities manage to have one. Maybe next year's Commonwealth Games could provide the perfect platform to re-launch the Glasgow Marathon.

I love running around Glasgow as you see many different sights. Today's run included red sandstone tenements looking amazing in the sunshine, tar or bitumen melting in the heat, a roe deer swimming across the Forth and Clyde Canal, bridges over the Clyde, some beautifully painted murals and right at the end the P/S Waverley heading doon the watter.
