It's fairly easy to make #CellularAutomata in #Godot using a #shader.

There's barely any Gdscript, just enough to connect the top-left Rule LineEdit with the shader parameter.

To read back from the written pixels, I use two SubViewports and two ViewportTextures.

That's no Lenia, but it's pretty neat for a few minutes of hacking around.
