mirai 2.6.0 is on CRAN. mirai is R's framework for parallel and async computing — the async foundation for Shiny, plumber2, purrr, targets, and ragnar.

This release bridges local dev and enterprise infra.

🔹 HTTP launcher — deploy daemons to Posit Workbench or any cloud API
🔹 C-level dispatcher — per-task overhead now in microseconds
🔹 race_mirai() — process results as they complete
🔹 Sync mode — run tasks in-process for interactive debugging
