Finally finished my undead dwarf #RPG mini! So I decided to show it off with some #3DPrinting-created terrain for #TTRPG #Miniatures. I think they look pretty good together!

Have a few additional pics with artsy lighting arrangements!

MANY years ago, I backed a #Kickstarter for a set of dwarven #Miniatures. They've always been a lower priority than everything else. But tonight, I came really close to finishing one of the best from the set -- the Undead Dwarf.
This is without washes, but with a rust effect on his armor. Next stop: #ArmyPainter Soft Tone for the bones and Dark Tone for everything else. Then #Valleo Matte Varnish.
Finished one last #MiniPainting project before 2024 arrives!
I really wish I could keep a resin-based 3D printer in the house, but I've read and watched so many examinations of the materials safety involved — some with commentary from people who hold advanced degrees in chemistry -- that I don't feel comfortable using one. I'm envious of how smooth and perfect the mini prints are, but I'm not using resin until there's a less toxic alternative.

Spent hours painting @AugieDeer's anthro deer mini today. I'm still not happy with the print quality, and I had to fix up a lot of defects, so this may just wind up being my "color test" mini. No washes or varnish applied yet.
I accidentally dropped the deer with the axe, and his right antler and ear shattered in a way that I can't easily fix. Plus I noticed some additional printing errors on his right hand.
I could get super upset, but this is why 3D printers exist. I'm going to try and perfect the settings and get a clean print this time. Cura keeps complaining that there are errors and gaps in the model, so I can't help but wonder if the supports themselves are flawed.
Spa day for broken bucks! From left to right...
1. Initial leg/hoof repair using Gorilla Glue is drying. Putty to follow.
2. Axe head now covered in GG to strengthen putty. Sanding next.
3. Axe head completely absent in print, so I clipped a war hammer head off a failed print and glued it to the handle. Putty to follow for a smoother "join." Antlers reinforced with GG.
Never throw away a 3D print if you can repair it!
Thanks to every one of our 442 backers, your support and appreciation means so much to us!
Thanks to you, we will be able to realise the next project, which will be 100% compatible to THE BRICK.
