In 2010 we drove north for a week's break with the goal being to get to a Dark Sky site and see some decent stars. That would mean a first visit to Scotland for me but to break the journey up on the way we stopped overnight in Liverpool, a first for my wife. Liverpool was where I'd studied at university so it was interesting to see what had changed and what I remembered. We stayed near the Albert Dock and I had a great time reminiscing about when we'd wander into the background shots of Richard and Judy hosting This Morning or the weather map that used to float there.
