Had the absolute HONOR of visiting PDXTaproom in Tokyo and presenting them with one of my Rose City Maneki-neko patches!
Shota (at right) was a wonderfully welcoming host as we drank Portland beer and watched the Timbers pull off a draw from the opposite edge of the Pacific rim. 💚💛
Looking forward to seeing that patch on the wall on our next visit! 😻

Rose City Kitty PTFC backpatch? 😻
Years ago I created this version of the traditional Japanese maneki neko talisman to connect the Rose City and PTFC with our neighbors on the other side of the Pacific Rim.
The characters translate idiomatically to ROSE CITY. Those are Japanese axes in the necklace, and the kamon (family crest) are roses. The bad attitude, of course, is pure #RCTID. 😼
