In case you wondered what moose like to eat (it’s fireweed next to my house), these photos were taken two days apart.

The culprit was still hanging out in the woods nearby when we got home last night (but thankfully the dogs did not bother her too much, and she did not try to trample them).

FINALLY. Some of the fireweed (aka rosebay willowherb) at my house is blooming!

(For the non-Alaskans out there, this is incredibly late in the summer for them to start. I’ve seen them blooming all over the area already, just not at my house.)
