Ron Howard – „The Missing“ (2003)

Ein Western der frühen Nullerjahre, mit dem Ron Howard versucht hat, das ganze Genre zu therapieren. Denn nach den großen Dekonstruktionen der Neunziger stand die Frage im Raum, ob das Kino eigentlich noch einen Western erzählen kann, ohne sich permanent für die eigene Gewalt zu entschuldigen.
