A new report suggests that the changes Jon Moxley has made to his persona in AEW are based on a racist character Russell Crowe played in an obscure 1990s film. After a couple of months away from AEW television, Jon Moxley made his return to the brand on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. It was a celebrated moment by the fans in attendance. Since the man formerly known as Dean Ambrose in WWE was missed and is a beloved figure in the All Elite Wrestling fanbase. However, the former AEW World Champion was noticeably different during his appearance on Wednesday. Firstly, his head was completely shaven. Which was a departure from how fans are used to seeing Mox. But, he also had a darker approach to his character and delivery. Even telling AEW announcer Tony Schiavone “This isn’t your company anymore.” The expectation is that Moxley’s new approach will lead to a greater story that will unravel in the weeks ahead.
