John Chrysostom, archbishop of Constantinople, on Jesus washing the feet of Judas, the traitor and thief. Judas was a partaker of His table. But we are “high minded” and raise our eyebrows when seeing anyone doing similar today.

Is John Chrysostom calling these fine and dandy things? No, and he is calling these things as no reason not to love and serve such a person. He’s even at the table.
