Agi: Recuperato l'elmo d'oro di Cotofenesti, un tesoro di 2500 anni

AGI - Le autorità olandesi hanno annunciato il recupero del prezioso elmo d'oro di Cotofenesti, tesoro nazionale rumeno di 2.500 anni, sottratto lo scorso anno da un museo nei Paesi Bassi. Il reperto, simbolo della civiltà dacia, è stato presentato giovedì ad Assen sotto stretta sorveglianza della polizia d'élite.
Insieme all'elmo, le autorità hanno rinvenuto due dei tre braccialetti dorati asportati durante il colpo. Il recupero è frutto di un accordo tra la procura e tre uomini arrestati poco dopo il furto, il cui processo inizierà a fine aprile.
"Siamo incredibilmente soddisfatti," ha dichiarato Corien Fahner, del servizio di procura. "È stata una montagna russa. Soprattutto per la Romania, ma anche per i dipendenti del Museo di Drents." Resta ancora aperta la ricerca dell'ultima fascia mancante, come confermato dalla stessa Fahner.
Le condizioni dei reperti
Nonostante i timori iniziali che l'elmo potesse essere fuso a causa della sua invendibilità sul mercato nero, il pezzo è tornato integro, sebbene non intonso. Il direttore del Drents Museum, Robert van Langh, ha precisato: "Il casco è leggermente ammaccato, ma non ci saranno danni permanenti. Le fasce sono in perfette condizioni."

Together with the helmet, authorities have recovered two of the three golden bracelets stolen during the theft. The recovery is the result of an agreement between the prosecutor’s office and three men arrested shortly after the theft, whose trial will begin at the end of April.

“We are incredibly satisfied,” said Corien Fahner of the prosecutor’s office. “It’s been a rollercoaster. Especially for Romania, but also for the employees of the Drents Museum.” The search for the missing final bracelet remains open, as confirmed by Fahner herself.

Mezzo milione di euro, un Gratta e Vinci e una sparizione improvvisa: è questa la storia che arriva da Carsoli, in provincia de L’Aquila, dove una donna ha lasciato il fidanzato con il biglietto vincente da 500.000 euro, comprato pochi giorni prima al Bar Renato. Dopo giorni di incredulità e rabbia iniziale, il compagno avrebbe cambiato idea: “È tranquillo, non sembra affatto preoccupato e dice che tutto va bene. La donna, però, dopo aver depositato il biglietto in banca, non è più tornata, lasciando il fidanzato tra lo spaesato e l’incredulo. “L’ho cercata più volte, ma non sono riuscito a contattarla”, aveva raccontato. Inizialmente aveva annunciato l’intenzione di denunciarla, sconvolto dall’accaduto. Oggi, però, la scelta è cambiata: decide di perdonarla e di aspettarla, sperando che torni nei prossimi giorni.
Al Bar Renato, curiosi e vicini continuano ad avvicinarsi per sapere il nome della fortunata, ma il titolare continua a mantenere la privacy. L’uomo ha riferito di essersi procurato da solo la ferita, spiegando di aver agito in un momento di disperazione personale. Quando gli agenti del commissariato Santa Viola sono arrivati in ospedale, il 63enne ha ribadito quanto già detto ai medici, ma il suo racconto è apparso frammentario e poco chiaro, anche per via delle condizioni fisiche in cui si trovava. Non viene esclusa, quindi, l’ipotesi che possa essere stato aggredito. Durante gli accertamenti è emerso che sull’uomo pendeva un ordine di carcerazione emesso dalla Procura di Ferrara: deve scontare un residuo di pena di due anni per reati contro il patrimonio. Da circa cinque anni risultava latitante, riuscendo a sottrarsi alla giustizia.
Il 63enne, cittadino romeno, è stato sottoposto a un intervento chirurgico per rimuovere il chiodo e si trova ora ricoverato sotto sorveglianza. Non appena le sue condizioni lo permetteranno, sarà trasferito nel carcere della Dozza per scontare la pena residua.
