So cool the idea to optimize the path finding of the NPCs in RollerCoaster Tycoon down to a certain amount of nodes, cancel it and then let the NPC say: „I can't find the exit“.
It's not a bug, its a feature.
Those ideas can only come together when we don't separate designers from engineers and come up with creative workarounds for limitations.

Surprised I don’t see more love here for OpenRCT2. It’s an open source project that makes classic game Rollercoaster Tycoon work awesome on modern systems, fixes some bugs in the original and ads new features
I just learned about this upcoming indie game, it looks great! It's clearly inspired by Transport Tycoon and early SimCity. I'll definitely be giving that demo a try (if it works on Linux), it looks right up my alley.
