Don't see Venus getting a #RolandGarros wildcard. Never won a singles title there and lost R1 in her last four appearances in 2018 2019 2020 & 2021.

Cobelli wins in Monaco: defeats Zverev and is moved on the court.
ATP - An extraordinary Flavio Cobolli defeated the outgoing champion Alexander Zverev in two sets and secured a spot in the final of the “BMW Open”, ATP 500 worth €2,561,110, taking place on the red clay courts of the Iphitos Tennis Club in Munich, Germany.
A magnificent performance against Zverev
The 23-year-old Roman’s magnificent performance, world number 16 and fourth seed, saw him triumph 6-3 6-3 after one hour and 9 minutes of play, halting Zverev’s run towards his fourth title in Bavaria.
Cobolli, who had lost both previous encounters with the German (eighth round at Roland Garros and quarter-finals at Halle in 2025), has thus achieved his fifth career final in the main tour.
Tomorrow, against the winner of the match between second seed Ben Shelton and qualifier Alex Molcan, he will go in search of his fourth title after victories in Bucharest and Hamburg last season and in Acapulco last February.
The emotion after the victory
After winning the final in Monaco, Cobolli sat in his corner and let out a liberating cry.
The tennis player explained that the emotion was linked to the disappearance of a friend: “He was only 13 years old, he left too soon. This victory is only for him.”
