Spotted a new ASCII dungeon-based game maker, apparently in the works for years now. "Rogue Customs": https://supersnivy.itch.io/rogue-customs
Appears to be a pretty powerful editor in which you can even script more complex actions.

I darkened down the walls in my game a lot.
It was requested by a bunch of people, because you should keep the unimportant thing dark and the important things bright.
This should reduce the cognitive load needed to process the game, because the attention is directed to the importatn places right away.
I think it works quite well. The attention gets drawn to the rooms content now.
Later i also made the blue lines a lot more greyish and darker.
I got interviewed about my game "OfMiceAndMechs" and the video is done now:

Check it out! I feel the interviewer did a pretty good to make sure my first interview didn't end up being a desater.
I did also watched some other videos in the series and i basically recommend checking out the whole series!

I got interviewed by a small youtube channel about OfMiceAndMechs yesterday!
The channel does a series called "Indie Neighbor" about dev that publish games on itch.io
The interview itself and contact was pleasant so i recommend reaching out and getting some practice in.
The recruiting post on reddit:

I have not seen the actual result yet, but the other interviews on the channel were pretty well done.
I further tweaked my games UI:
Since enemies were hard to spot sometime, now characters have an indicator on them showing that they are characters.
The character indicators are the litte red triangles on the "st". For allies that triangles are blue.
The whole thing turned out to be much more work then expected, but it works now :-)
