Many years ago when my son was a toddler we stood in front of this rockface in Millersdale and he said "look at all the faces" #pareidolia We called it our "Mount Rushmore". The trees have steadily grown to cover the rock over the past 15 years or so, but they have recently been coppiced. Now we can seen the faces again! 😊 You might need to zoom in (the third pic has the best "presidents" 😉)

El Torcal de Antequera
Der Naturpark El Torcal de Antequera in der Provinz Málaga ist eines der eindrucksvollsten Karstlandschaften Europas und seit 2016 UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Das Gebiet besteht aus bizarren Kalksteinformationen, die über Millionen von Jahren durch Erosion (Wind und Wasser) aus dem ehemals hier liegenden Meeresboden geformt wurden. Die Verwitterung hat Felsentürme, Grotten und tiefe Schluchten entstehen lassen. Das Foto zeigt die charakteristischen, schichtförmigen Felsen inmitten der Karstlandschaft, teilweise mit Herbstlaub bewachsen, unter einem dramatischen Himmel.
