While Alan was finishing off the cage for the #rockery I was busy weeding it & transplanting the #houseleeks I'd rescued along with miniature irises. It was lovely & warm on the patio this afternoon, so nice to be working #naked outdoors 😎
My very talented Alan has created a made to measure protective #cage for our little #rockery to save our house #leeks from the attentions of the #blackbirds and #pigeons who love pecking them to bits. It's easy to lift on and off when I need to weed it & I'm chuffed to bits with it 😀
Used this technique on the fin can of my current 75mm airframe build and noticed about a 1mm bulge around the airframe at the fin slots.
This is LOC paper tubing, so it's beefy, but I don't recommend two-part-foam unless it's a fiberglass airframe.
You could also take the bulge as an oblique strategies prompt and lean into it.
