Welcome! This is the application form for this year's event. It will work like a regular BigBang-Event, but with some caveats: Caveat One: There will be Tiers to have a choice of the amount of work: Tier 1 has a minimum of 5000 words and 1 artwork, etc. Caveat Two: There is a 99% guarantee every work will be finished at the end of the event! Depending on the amount of participants and the ratio of Writers to Artists, there will be different teams from 2 creators up to 4 creators if all goes as planned. We are hoping for a lot of interest and a huge variety of characters and shipping preferences to make matching easier! Time schedule: - Sign Ups: 20th January to 20th February - Writer Outlines: 1st March (Writers can start to create!) - Artist Claims: 2nd to 5th March - Matching: 8th March Meet your team and start creating! - Check in 1: 1st April (no joke! XD) - Check in 2: 1st June - Check in 3: 1st August - Final Check in: 1st October Posting Time! (15th October) [Can't say how long the Posting Period will be yet, it depends on the amount of works in the end. We will figure that part out on the way!) Here is a document with more information, but here are the most important Rules and Requirements: The mod team will have a track record of completing work on time and to a high standard. Open to all DBH work, barring some extreme/TOS material. We hope for a huge variety of characters! The minimum wordcount is 5,000 words/1 Art, to make it easier for casual or busy creators to take part! Members will be expected to finish if they want to participate again (records will be kept of handles/AO3 accounts to ensure this is the case). There is no shame in needing help. If one completes the event with the help of others without dropping out, it still counts as completion and they will be able to take part again next year. Communication is essential - This applies to Mods, the other creators, and supporters! You don’t need to join the server, but you do need to reply to emails or have DMs on other socials open to your mods and team. Also, you can join the discord and not take part in general chatting and mute every channel except the event section. If you don’t like a character/ship/style, please keep it out of the event. You are not obliged to like and hype every single work (it is appreciated, but everyone likes and dislikes different things) but if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing. If there are issues between participants or server members or even mods, please announce them to the mod team if you can’t solve it in private. Don’t drag those issues into the server/public. WIPs/snippets are allowed to be shared, but only within the server. Please avoid sharing too much of your work in public before the posting time. There will be opportunities to share sneak peeks, don’t worry, you won’t need to keep it all confidential! Of course, you can share all the work with your partner/team at any time in the event! Not allowed: Chat GPT or AI Written Fics AI Art (you can create references with mid-journey or whatever, but you have to do your art yourself) Obvious copies of other works You want to be in this event but not as a writer or artist? Sure! You can join as a Beta or Pinchhitter (Backup)! You can skip a lot of questions, if you fill out Section 1 and answer the last question with "I don't want to create".
