While construction of Sunderland's new 'Keel Crossing' pedestrian/cycle bridge across the River Wear has been underway, public access to the pathways and cycle routes either side of the river has been closed.
Now that the new bridge has been officially opened, just wondering how long before the riverside paths below are reopened – does anyone know?
Really looking forward to having the opportunity to walk along this stretch of the riverside once again.

A nocturnal view of the river Wear looking towards the port and North Sea.

Animating & editing with Procreate & LumaFusion. This was a film commission about the River Wear. Wanted to try editing & motion with LumaFusion. I’d like better easing on panning but at the moment it looks like the only way to do it is manually with keyframes - I think I’ve gotten lazy with automated presets!

Photos from a hiking path I enjoyed when I lived in #Durham. It goes north alongside the #RiverWear, up to the Belmont Viaduct, an abandoned stone railway built in 1856. It once connected #Sunderland and Durham, but was closed in 1964. This time of year it's not uncommon for fog and frost to collect along the footpath, with a mood I closely associate with the #folklore of the #Northeast.
