A few weeks ago, I was in Frankfurt about to head to Zambia when news started filtering out that RightsCon had been cancelled over pressure from China.

It was shocking to see. I still ended up traveling to Zambia for a separate event, but it showed me we can’t take our eye off China even if the US is the more immediate threat.
