Esta tarde estoy descubriendo lo que realmente decían las letras de las canciones del álbum COMMUNARDS de The Communards, la banda liderada por Jimmy Somerville (y Richard Coles) en los años 80. Fue el primer cassette que me regalaron de niño, y lo he escuchado en un montón de aparatos, desde un walkman de cuatro duros hasta el móvil a través del programa VLC, pero nunca me había interesado a seguir la letra canónicamente. También debo decir que jamás he vuelto a oír una voz como la de Jimmy Somerville, y que me gusta mucho imitarlo. 😎

Third album from The Romantics, who originally came out of Detroit MI. Look at the new wave style here – matching pink leather suits and bolo ties.

Did not reach the same heights as their self-titled debut and “What I Like About You” but continues in that same sound. Nemperor was a label founded by Nathan Weiss in the 60s that put out Stanley Clarke, Jerry Goodman, Jan Hammer – The Romantics were one of their biggest artists.

My copy—via Vinyl Destination in Lowell MA—is an original 1981 Pitman pressing.
