I know that she's not performing to a Kpop song, and I also know that some crusty old men will grumble about rhythmic gymnastics not being a "real sport", but Cheng Xiao was an idol when this was filmed and her performance was part of a sporting contest....and she looks both acrobatically impressive and beautiful too!

These girls are superb athletes even though the sport seems limiting in my opinion

However, just like ballet, it doesn't seem to care about the actual well-being of the girls.

One is so blatantly anorexic I was scared for her. You could see her ribs and spine through her leotard and her joints were the widest parts of her limbs. Shocking next to the healthy girls

One hyperextended her knees on every move well beyond dancer flexibility
