"Hang On Sloopy" (originally "My Girl Sloopy") is a 1964 song written by #WesFarrell and #BertBerns. #RhythmAndBlues vocal group #theVibrations were the first to record the tune in 1964. #AtlanticRecords released it as a single, which reached No. 26 on the #Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song is associated with #OhioStateUniversity and is Ohio's official rock song. The song became standard fare for #garageBands and, in 1965.

"Searchin'" is a song written by #JerryLeiberAndMikeStoller specifically for #theCoasters. #AtcoRecords released it as a #single in March 1957, which topped the #RAndBChart for twelve weeks. It also reached number three on the Billboard singles chart. Although the Coasters had previously done well on the #rhythmAndBlues charts, "Searchin'" (along with "#YoungBlood" on the flip side) sparked the group's #rockAndRoll fame.
