Ann Cole with the Suburbans: In the Chapel (1956)

The song was written by David Clowney (who was better-known as Dave "Baby" Cortez) and Larry Coleman. The original Baton Records single made it to #14 on the Billboard R&B chart in late January, 1957. The flip side, "Each Day", was also quite popular and is a great record as well.

"Land of a Thousand Dances" or "Land of 1000 Dances" is a song written and first recorded by the American #rhythmAndBlues singer #ChrisKenner in 1962. It later became a bigger hit in versions by #CannibalAndTheHeadhunters and #WilsonPickett. A version by #TheeMidniters reached number 27 in Canada on March 22, 1965. The song references a number of dance styles including #theTwist, the Alligator, #theMashedPotato, #theWatusi and #thePony.
