Today another #Basel🇨🇭#Tram picture, taken earlier this afternoon at #Schifflände neighbourhood, by the #Rhine river: a meet of two #BVB Be4/4 “Cornichon” tramcars from the 1980s. The trailers are of a 1960s design. (They were rebuilt in the 1990s however, with the introduction of a low floor area.)

These days 50 years ago (on April 7th and 8th 1976) the Oberkassel Bridge in #Düsseldorf was shifted 47.5m sideways. The new bridge had been built alongside the old one, so that the traffic across the #Rhine river would not need to be interrupted. After completion the old bridge was demolished and the new bridge was put in its place.
