I have an appt with my #rheumatologist on the 26th--I can't wait to hear what she has to say, because I'm flabbergasted. /end

🇬🇧 'Rheumatoid factor (RF) is seen in about half of patients w/ Sjogren's, such as erosions on xray/ MRI. RF is not specific to RA. However, there are other things that support an RA diagnosis. Important to know bc many RA drugs like TNF inhibitors are not effective for Sjogren's'.

Off to my first #hospital appointment in three years tomorrow. Slightly trepidatious, not least the risk of picking up #Covid there. But glad to be seeing a #rheumatologist again. The last few years have been torrid for me with constant #neurological flares. To be fair there isn’t much the rheumy can do to fix that in the current continuing fallout from the #pandemic. #NHS #Medicine #Immunosuppressed #Rheumatology

I have decided I am going to start doing #ChairYoga it seems to be the best fit for me since I have been blessed with one of the worst cases of #rheumatoidarthritis my #rheumatologist has seen, I am going to start Monday!

@nicedragon I am diagnosed by #NHS as having both #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis aka #ChronicFatigueSyndrome and #Fibromyalgia. Large numbers of #pwME have both. A #rheumatologist diagnosed the latter and my local hospital‘s #endocrinology dept. (specialising in inter alia #ME ) confirmed my G.P.‘s diagnosis of the former.

My 86 yo dad is sick. #nhs 👍👊 but rural #Wales: no regular #GP - he's seeing different nurse practitioners, it's a mess

We really need a GP/ practice to assess his medications and collate the info from the specialists. Private or NHS, I'm looking for a clinic somewhere near #Porthmadog #bangor #northWales

On a page for types of #arthritis, I saw an entry describing a "#rare form of arthritis" that "No test can detect."
I wonder if it's "rare" because if it doesn't come up on a blood test then a #rheumatologist is going to look at you and call you a #liar to your face.

I came to consult a new #doctor and found myself in a familiar office. When the secretary asked whether I already have a record with this #rheumatologist, suddenly I was confused. 😶 I haven't consulted this doctor before but I know I have* been to this very office...

Then I looked at the name plaques.

Oh. This doctor shares the office with the #OrthopedicSurgeon I consulted last year. 😅
