Since people are asking me about why I switched to matrix.org.

First of all, stoat.chat doesn't end to end messaging like matrix.

stoat.chat is like Discord but beta. I had encounter predatory behavior on stoat.chat. when I report it to the team it just when to void.

So jetzt reicht's! Jetzt habe ich auch mal Emotionen! 🤬

Ich musste ja meinen Kindern #discord erlauben, weil ALLE ihre Freunde sich dort treffen zum Ratschen, Daddeln, Hausis besprechen etc.
Aber heute verlangte Discord eine gültige Handynummer zur "Verification". 🤢 🤮

Als #alternative teste ich heute mal #stoat (aka #revolt #revoltchat) und #matrix. Mal sehen, wer das Rennen macht und ob wir "perspektivisch" was etablieren können in unserer Hometown. 💪

I see @revoltchat – the open source Discord alternative – recently did a rebranding earlier this month: now they call themselves Stoat. Other than that, nothing major, although there are promises of big updates in the near future.

This rebranding however does not (yet) extend to their Fediverse presence, being only present in Bluesky and Reddit.

Ensuite, les émojis semble ne pas pouvoir être copier/coller sans souci (le diamond small me met une version large, ps possible d'avoir le warning, etc).

Idem pour les hypertextes de mémoire ça marchait il y a quelques mois ... Mais plus maintenant. Aussi je n'ai pas réussi à supprimer un salon textuel de mon serveur, ni enregistré une image pour les salons.

Je viens de voir que #RevoltChat venait de changer de logo/branding pour une image de marque autour de l'hermine (#StoatChat) à cause d'une mise en demeure ...

Et avec ça je constate la nouvelle interface, très #MaterialYou mais ça vient aussi avec son lot de bug. Déjà un long message peut masquer l'icône "envoyer" alors que son encardé peut toujours permettre de le faire.
