Classic #retrogaming is a deep rabbithole. I'm at #MISTerFPGA level and it's getting serious.

Multi-player (4+ players) on any platform < N64 is now possible, and I'm combing through the archives looking for interesting multiplayer gaming experiences.

I have FIFA (MD), Beetle Adventure Racing (N64), Dungeon Explorer (PCE), and Smash Tennis (SNES) to try out as well as the more common (but great) experiences like Mario Kart and Bomberman.

** Any suggestions? **

I'm in the process of setting up Saturn (4P) for the what's regarded as the perfect game of Bomberman.

TIL that microprose did an in-house port of Railroad Tycoon to the Macintosh Plus/SE in the early 90s.

it is *adorable*. they went through an incredible amount of effort to mac-ify the interface, and repainted all of the art in high-res black & white. and the mouse is fully functional, unlike the ms-dos version

best compliment i can give to its porting team: it feels like a genuine maxis game.

Am 1. März 1997 erschien die 3D Jump and Run Revolution #SuperMario64 für das #N64. Ich hatte das Glück dieses Ereignis miterleben zu dürfen und habe Mario 64 geliebt und quasi täglich gespielt. Bis heute gehört es zu meinen Feel-Good Lieblingspielen. ❤️

Ich habe damals Monate oder sogar Jahre gebraucht, auf jeden Fall fühlte es sich damals wie eine Ewigkeit an, bis ich stolzer Besitzer von 120 Sternchen war. 🌟
