Mal eine Frage an der #tech Welt. Heute morgen ist mein #RethinkDNS gecrasht (Version githup t) ließ sich nicht mehr starten. Also neu installiert über Fdroid. Teils ins Deutsche übersätzt. Hättet Ihr sie lieber auf githup ver. u Upgedatet? Hardere wegen Google.crashanalytics.
Ausser Netguard nichts. Allerdings hat das keine Wireguard implementation.
Die Entwicklung geht nur sehr spärlich voran. Die letzte als stabil geflagte version (0.5.5n) ist von Juni 2024. Alle Versionen danach (o bis u) sind als Pre-Release geflaggt und gelten als instabil.

Das mache ich ganz ähnlich.
Außerdem habe ich #rethinkdns installiert. Auch wenn ich bei weitem nicht alles verstehe, was mir da angezeigt wird, schaue ich mir zwischendurch gerne an, welche Apps aktiv sind. Die "fleißigsten" schicke ich dann mal in die Pause oder deinstalliere sie, wenn ich sie nicht unbedingt brauche.
Zum 2. Mal passiert es, das #RethinkDNS (v0.5.5t) unerwartet und dauerhaft komplett abstürzt. Diesmal betrifft es mein Google Pixel 7a mit #GrapheneOS. Nur das löschen von Cache und Daten der App macht es mir möglich, die App wieder zum laufen zu bringen.
Frustrierend daran ist, daß ich alle Daten wieder neu konfigurieren muss, weil das importieren der gespeicherten Konfiguration fehlschlägt.

Fritz!Fon app stopped working on my Pixel 6a. The App no longer connects to the router. WiFi is on, the router is visible to the app.
App says "wrong password". I doublechecked this, the password is correct.
App runs fine on other mobiles (including a Pixel 6a using Google Android 16).
Fritzbox 4060 runs the latest firmware.
I am using GrapheneOS and RethinkDNS. I did not change any setting prior to the problem.
Dass eine App wie #RethinkDNS Tracker wie "Google Firebase Analytics" und "Google Crashlytics" beinhaltet ist schon unglaublich - und auch unglaublich nervig!
Weshalb ist eine App, die eigentlich dafür sorgen sollte, genau solche Tracker lahmzulegen, selbst mit Trackern vollgepackt?? Ich könnte kotzen!!!
Edit: nur in der Version vv0.5.5u (die zu testende Version) hat es Crashlytics drin. F-Droid-Versionen sind allesamt trackingfrei. (@rdns).
#RethinkDNS has been crashing constantly since today. Resetting and reconfiguring my Android VPN settings does not help. Restarting my phone does not help either. I have version v0.5.5t from F-Droid, there has been no update, and there is no newer version available there. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Update: Somehow I managed to start the App in "Stopped" mode, made a backup, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restored the backup and it works again.
