A poisonous clash unfolded live on camera for “Quarto Grado” between criminologist Roberta Bruzzone and lawyer Massimo Lovati, former defense attorney of Andrea Sempio. Il Tempo: L'attentatore di Modena, Vecchioni si supera: "Caso rarissimo di raptus"
Ha tanti "problemi" Salim El Koudri, l'uomo di origine marocchina che si è scagliato con l'auto sull'auto sulla folla in centro a Modena provocando ferite gravissime ai malcapitati passanti. Dopo lo schianto è sceso dall'auto con un coltello in mano, ma fortunatamente è stato fermato prima di fare altri danni. Ma guai a dire che il 31enne musulmano possa essersi radicalizzato. Roberto Vecchioni nello studio di Realpolitik, il programma di Tommaso Labate su Rete 4, si avventura in un'articolata acrobazia retorica per dribblare in ogni modo il movente terrorista o religioso.
Il famoso cantautore idolatrato dalla sinistra parte dalla presa in cura dei servizi psichiatrici da parte del Comune emiliano, qualche anno fa. "Chi è malato di mente, ed è una cosa di vari livelli naturalmente, non se la prende con gli altri, se la prende con se stesso, si toglie di mezzo, va via, si vergogna di essere in mezzo alla gente, quindi è un caso rarissimo questo..." osserva Vecchioni. Difficile capire su quali basi affermi questo. Il cantautore di Samarcanda continua: "Chi è malato di mente ce l'ha con la sua stessa persona, quindi questo deve essere stato un raptus particolare".
Insomma, El Koudri per Vecchioni avrebbe agito per un impulso improvviso e incontrollabile, anche se aveva con sé un coltello. Lo stabiliranno le indagini degli inquirenti. Tuttavia è significativa la corsa, in certi ambienti culturali, a ridurre la vicenda a un fatto di disagio mentale (tra l'altro la gip di Modena ha escluso che il 31enne abbia agito spinto dai disturbi psichici). Di più. Vecchioni afferma che "questa persona aveva più problemi, non solo quello di mente, aveva anche altri problemi. Sociali, lavorativi...". Insomma, per Vecchioni è tutto chiaro: l'importante è che non c'entri l'Islam.

La visita di Donald Trump a Pechino dal suo omologo cinese Xi Jinping sta facendo molto dibattere in queste ore. L'interrogativo è su quale postura vogliano e possano assumere gli Stati Uniti nei confronti del rivale storico che ambisce, entro il 2049, a raggiungere il primato mondiale. Se ne parlava anche a 4 di Sera, trasmissione di approfondimento in onda su Rete 4 condotta dal giornalista Paolo Del Debbio, dov'è intervenuto anche il direttore Alessandro Sallusti. "Io non sono mai stato un simpatizzante di Trump, però qui si è perso un po' il senso della misura. Si è confuso Trump con quello che rappresenta - ha detto - Trump a Pechino è stato accolto con tutti gli onori possibili e immaginabili. Uno dice che il motivo sia perché è il Presidente degli Stati Uniti, non è vero. Obama nel 2016 venne fatto scendere dall'aereo, dalla scaletta quasi di emergenza e non c'era il tappeto rosso e per le strade di Pechino non c'erano le folle osannanti quando passava il Presidente degli Stati Uniti".
Per Sallusti, quindi, l'accoglienza è dovuta alla postura che Trump ha adottato nei confronti dei suoi interlocutori, che gli ha conferito credibilità e quindi rispetto anche da parte degli avversari più difficili. Infatti "la Cina riconosce a Trump il ruolo di leader non solo dell'America ma dell'Occidente, che è un ruolo che non gli riconosciamo più".
La differenza, quindi, è nel peso che attribuiamo alle figure istituzionali e a quello che queste rappresentano. "Se Trump fosse atterrato a Roma o a Parigi - conclude Sallusti - verrebbe accolto a pomodori in faccia e ci sarebbe le sinistre, e non solo, in piazza a protestare perché riceviamo con tutti gli onori un pericoloso dittatore, un fascista. Non abbiamo capito che noi siamo parte dell'Occidente, il capo dell'Occidente, ce l'ha detto oggi chiaramente Xi, è l'America".

Il Tempo: Diffusi gli audio di Sempio: "Alle nove e mezza..." e il "video nella penna"
A focalizzare l'attenzione dell'opinione pubblica oggi sul caso di Garlasco sono gli audio dei soliloqui di Andrea Sempio, intercettato in auto. File dove le parole si confondono col rumore di fondo, e che vegono rilanciati dalle trasmissioni tv. A 4 di sera, su Rete 4, Paol Del Debbio ha mandato in onda l'audio di una intercettazione ambientale del 2017 che secondo la Procura di Pavia "sembra riferirsi all'orario in cui si sarebbe presentato a casa della vittima il giorno dell'omicidio" di Chiara Poggi. Nell'audio dell'8 febbraio 2017 il 38enne, viene ricostruito, affermerebbe: "È successo qualcosa quel giorno (...) era sempre lì a casa (...) però ca**o (...) alle nove e mezza". Secondo la Procura Sempio "sembra riferirsi all'orario" in cui è stata uccisa Chiara Poggi il 13 agosto 2007, quell'intercettazione è relativa a due giorni prima di essere interrogato per la prima volta come indagato nell'inchiesta del 2016-17.
Intercettazione che è stata riascoltata nel 2025 e riportata sia nell'informativa del Nucleo investigativo dei carabinieri che nella memoria che i pm hanno letto all'indagato la settimana scorsa, quando convocato dai magistrati si è avvalso della facoltà di non rispondere.

Un altro audio, mandato in onda da Dentro la notizia su Canale 5, per gli inquirenti si collega al movente sessuale. Nel dialogo tra sé e sé Sempio farebbe riferimento a video intimi di Chiara Poggi e Alberto Stasi, pronunciando la frase: “Il video ce l'ho nella penna”. La difesa dell'indagato sostiene che quelle frasi fossero commenti legati a podcast, programmi tv o ricostruzioni mediatiche sul caso.

Sempio audio released: "At 9:30..." and the "video on the pen."
Today, the Garlasco case is drawing public attention due to the audio recordings of Andrea Sempio’s monologues, intercepted while in his car. Files where the words blend with background noise, and which are being broadcast by television transmissions. At 9 p.m., on Rete 4, Paolo Del Debbio aired the audio of an ambient interception from 2017 that, according to the Pavia Prosecutor’s Office, “appears to refer to the time he allegedly arrived at the victim’s house on the day of her murder, Chiara Poggi.” The audio from February 8, 2017, features the 38-year-old allegedly saying: “Something happened that day (…) he was always there at home (…) but I messed up (…) at 9:30.” According to the Prosecutor, Sempio “appears to refer to the time” in which Chiara Poggi was killed on August 13, 2007. This interception is related to two days before he was first questioned as a suspect in the 2016-17 investigation.
The interception was replayed in 2025 and reported in both the information from the Carabinieri investigative unit and in the recollection that the prosecutors read to the suspect last week, when summoned by the magistrates, he exercised his right to remain silent.

Il Tempo: Da Sempio "una vera confessione": scontro a Quarto Grado
“Sono confessioni a tutti gli effetti”, “Mi chiedo il garantismo dove stia andando a finire”: Il delitto di Garlasco e gli ultimi sviluppi delle indagini su Andrea Sempio fanno discutere e non poco, e nel salotto televisivo di Gianluigi Nuzzi e Rete 4, Quarto Grado, Carmelo Abbate e Angela Taccia hanno due versioni totalmente diverse sulla vicenda.
Mentre il giornalista infatti sembra credere alle nuove intuizioni della Procura che in Sempio vedrebbe l'assassino di Chiara Poggi, l'avvocato dell'indagato invece richiama tutti all'ordine ed ad attendere l'esito delle indagini.
Il primo a parlare è Abbate: “Le telefonate, i suoi soliloqui io penso che siano confessione a tutti gli effetti Gianluigi – dice lapidario il giornalista di Panorama – quando lui viene qui e dice a me e a te che le telefonate del 7 e dell'8 erano per cercare Marco e per sapere quando Marco sarebbe tornato, oggi leggo che gli amici sentiti ce ne fosse uno che non aveva chiaro che Marco stava partendo per la montagna e che sarebbe tornato in un giorno prestabilito”
Il riferimento è alle telefonate che Sempio fece nei giorni precedenti al delitto e per Abbate è chiaro quanto lui, quanto gli amici di Marco Poggi, fossero informati degli spostamenti del fratello della vittima: “lo dicono loro, e dicono, lo sappiamo noi, ma lo sapevamo tutti”.
C'è poi il punto di vista dell'avvocato di Sempio che è totalmente opposto a quello del giornalista: “È l'ennesima dimostrazione di quanto si voglia mostrificare Andrea Sempio, anche mediaticamente – esordisce – ricordo a tutti che quando io e il collega Cataliotti eravamo mercoledì all'interrogatorio, quando eravamo ancora dentro, le prime indiscrezioni, ovviamente le peggiori, erano già uscite. E questo non vi nascondo, che non finisce mai di farmi rimanere basita, amareggiata”.
Il motivo è presto spiegato: “Mi chiedo veramente il garantismo dove stia andando a finire, perché io non lo vedo più, non lo vedo più. Ed è molto pericoloso, perché – spiega il legale prima di chiudere la sua analisi – nella situazione di Andrea Sempio potrebbe ritrovarsi chiunque, ogni cittadino”.

There is then the lawyer’s point of view of Sempio, which is totally opposed to that of the journalist: “It’s the umpteenth demonstration of how much they want to smear Andrea Sempio, even mediatically – he begins – I remind everyone that when I and colleague Cataliotti were on Wednesday at the interrogation, when we were still inside, the first rumors, of course the worst, had already come out. Per i due grandi alleati d'Occidente, Italia e Stati Uniti, oggi è stata la giornata del dialogo e della riconciliazione. Le parole che il presidente Donald Trump aveva rivolto contro Papa Leone XIV e poi la premier Meloni, quest'ultima per il mancato sostegno nello Stretto di Hormuz, avevano innescato un incidente diplomatico che il segretario di Stato Usa Marco Rubio ha cercato di rimediare con la visita prima in Vaticano e poi a Palazzo Chigi. Se ne parlava a 4 di Sera, trasmissione di approfondimento su Rete 4 condotta dal giornalista Paolo Del Dbbio, in cui è intervenuto anche il direttore de Il Tempo, Daniele Capezzone, che ha riportato la palla al centro del campo. Critica a Trump, certo, ma senza farsi trascinare dall'idea che sia il responsabile di tutti i problemi dell'Occidente.
"Non è serio trasformare Trump nel caprone espiatorio dei fallimenti europei. Scusate, ma è colpa di Trump se l'Europa non ha nessuna difesa? - incalza Capezzone - È colpa di Trump se l'Europa è totalmente indietro rispetto ai progressi tecnologici?. Se non abbiamo sistemi satellitari? Se non abbiamo sistemi di protezione aerea?"
La lista dei se è numerosa, abbastanza da far cogliere il punto: il presidente Usa, nella sue criticità e nei suoi modi certamente discutibili, non è comunque il nodo che impedisce ai problemi dell'Europa di risolversi. Anzi, nel suo supper criticabile modo di ristabilire un'area di influenza Usa e occidentale, potrebbe invecere essere la chiave di volta.
