May I introduce:
Grundig (Triumph Adler) Tippa S, built around 1962 - 1964.

Got my 'new' (😋) mechanical typewriter working today! I got it from an estate dissolution where the machine slept in the basement for more than 30 years.

Last night I rusted out the type levers and adjusted the key retrieval. New ink ribbons have already been ordered.

If the machine then work so far, I will continue to unrust it next week and clean the paper roller. Afterwards I want to use this wonderful piece every day. Like it's predecessor, an old Annabella. :smile:

Here are two preview scans, randomly picked out of the stack of slides I got last weekend. The images are neither cropped nor digitally corrected. I just blew away the loose dust.

This sunset! Remember, this old color reversal film was exposed 65 or 66 years ago and shown countless times.

I think it should really be worth washing, scanning all the film snippets and then framing and packaging them again for the long-term archive.

Das eigene Archiv noch nicht mal vollständig sortiert und digitalisiert, bekam ich gestern nochmal ein Paket: Briefe u. andere persönliche Dokumente, alle so um die 80 bis 120 Jahre alt. Und dazu nochmal so um die zwanzig Umschläge mit #Kleinbild Negativen aus den 1970er und 1980er Jahren... 🙄🤩

Heute Nacht konnte ich ohnehin nicht gut schlafen, also bin ich um kurz nach 04:30 Uhr aufgestanden und mich, bewaffnet mit frisch gekochtem Kaffee, Papierleim, Klebefilm, TippEx, Tinten und Lichtschutzspray bewaffnet, die ersten Papiere zum Umkopieren und digitalisieren vorzubereiten. Mit der hier abgebildeten Geburtsurkunde aus dem Jahr 1909 habe ich mal den Anfang gemacht. Und das ist noch eines der besser erhaltenen Dokumente...

Ich entdecke gerade eine weitere zeitfressende Leidenschaft, glaub ich. Aber: den alten Menschen und/oder ihren Verwandten, die mir diese ihre privatesten Schriftstücke und Bilder zugetragen haben, macht es Freude. Und sowas, genau sowas, freut mich dann wieder. Und zwar aus dem tiefsten Innern!

Yesterday I received another package w/ letters and other personal documents, all around 80 to 120 years old. And as if that wasn't enough, another twenty envelopes of small-screen negatives from the 1970s and 1980s... 🙄

Tonight I couldn't sleep well anyway, so I got up shortly after 04:30 and, armed with freshly made coffee, #paperglue, adhesive film, #TippEx, inks and uv #lightprotection spray, prepared the very first papers for copying and digitizing. I started with a 'Certificate of Birth' from 1909 as shown here. And that's one of the better preserved documents...

Btw: The old people or their relatives, who have herewith given me some of their most private documents and pictures, enjoy it. And something like that, exactly that, makes me happy. In my deepest inner being. 🤩
