Was just in time for my meeting.

I wonder whether wearing an #FFP2 #respirator inside the store makes a false accusation more or less likely.
Multiple randomized clinical trials and electronic health record studies now show that metformin, a widely used and well-established medication, significantly reduces the risk of developing Long COVID when taken during or shortly after acute infection with SARS-CoV-2. The findings were published today in Clinical Infectious DiseasesExternal link that opens in the same window.
This is so insane though. I don’t have to wear a mask but if I do I have to wear one of theirs to make sure mine is clean and effective?
I guess I understand from the perspective that if they make me wear a mask because I’m contagious they want to make sure it works, but if they’re not making me wear a mask it’s ridiculous that I have to wear two because I choose to wear one. But if I choose to not wear any that’s fine.
From that link:
“You may wear your own #N95 #respirator or mask. If you choose to do this, you must wear a facility-issued mask on top. We ask all patients who are wearing masks to do this because some patients are required to wear masks. By wearing one of our masks on top of your home mask, it helps us know that the mask you are wearing is clean and effective. Thank you for understanding.”
Parent: "The kids have been sick for weeks, they're probably not contagious any more."
Everyone else: "great!"
Me: "I'll just keep this
on thanks."
Parent: "But how will you eat?"
Me: "I can manage without snacking, don't worry!"
(very few days later)
Them: "I feel so sick, I can't even imagine going for a walk around the block. Brutal!"
Me: "doing OK over here - get well soon!" (privately thanking the mercies that the respirator seal seems to have been good enough)
