I see conspiracy where there likely is none. For instance, seems like all social media was designed to add millions of people to the ranks of the socially inept, introverted folks who never "got out" at all.

Then, not satisfied, they released a pandemic, so we had no choice but to stay at home and replaced the water cooler with Zoom.

OK, all of that wasn't by design, but because so many more of them #resisted than we did, got out more, not less -
