Svalo was our second rescue. The year before the daughter came home with the first one, Svalis. Svalis stayed in a shoebox and was hand-fed with flies and mealworms. After eight days she was ready for take off, so when she (the daughter) presented us with Svalo, we figured we could do it again …

These photos show Svalis. We have no idea whether it’s male or female, but we got female vibes and decided to say she/her. Whereas Svalo definitely gave male vibes. Especially since he wasn’t in a hurry to leave. I guess he’d found great board and accommodation 😆 Towards the end, we had to give him up for adoption because Mio (puppy) moved in, and it was tricky enough as it was with three cats in the house.
