Solved the problem by buying a new one
UPDATE: funfact: the pen of the new intuos does not work with the old one
on the plus side: works out of the box with ubuntu linux just like the old one
but it still has a miro-usb instead of usb-c
i was looking for a new pen for my pretty old wacom intuos ctl 490
turns out the new model in the same area as mine just cost ~35€
that's really sad throwing away a totally working tablet just because the pen is missing (it was also damaged by a fall too)
Another great move for right-to-repair!
