New life for this e-reader: new battery!
The glue was tough! They really don't want people to be able to change the battery easily 🙈

I bought a used vacuum robot. The seller claimed it to be refurbished. While it had low run hours, it had issues with the bumper sensors. They were too sensitive and stopped the vacuum multiple times during cleaning (Error 2. “Bumper stuck. Lightly tap it to release it.”). But it wasn't stuck. First I didn't want to fix it myself because I don't have time for it, but then the seller offered a 30% price reduction if I keep it. So I looked into it. The more popular solution is to replace the sensors, but I would have had to fully disassemble the vacuum. I went with the more destructive solution and filed off a millimeter of the prongs that are attached to the bumper sensors. To reduce wear (they scratch across the inside of the bumper), I sanded away any sharp ends. The prongs can be reached with minimal disassembly: Pop open the hood, remove the screws at the bottom that hold the bumper and you are done.
I haven't had any issues since then. #xiaomi #roborock #repairYourStuff
Oh, Simone Giertz war mir als Makerin noch gar nicht über den Weg gelaufen, so toll sind die berühmten Algorithmen dann wohl doch nicht …
