Minigrids and PV are great, but local businesses like bakeries need intense heat for cooking.
Electric ovens can easily overload a grid, but Lytefire solves this by using mirrors to convert sunlight directly into heat.
This is far more efficient than 20% efficiency solar panels and keeps minigrids reliable by displacing high-energy thermal loads.

Mind your own renewable resources now Europe! Say goodbye to oil or other fossil fuels. And do ik as quick as you can. #electricity #renewableenergies #ev #fossilfuels #windenergy #solarpower #europe
We finally got solar panels and battery installed and have had our first day of our own renewable energy. We will obviously get more in the summer and less in the winter but it feels good to be doing our bit for sustainability.

Energy 💥 from “nothing” 🚫 - Zoomposium with Christof Wetter

In our current series on energy and climate, we talk to Prof. Christof Wetter from Münster University of Applied Sciences.

For over 20 years, he has been conducting research into wastewater technology, biogas, renewable energies, and sustainable concepts for climate stability. His approach: Waste and residual materials are not worthless residues, but valuable raw materials.

Innovative processes make it possible not only to dispose of these materials more cheaply, but also to generate energy from them – seemingly “from nothing.”

An exciting look at technologies that could revolutionize our understanding of the circular economy and climate protection.

Zoomposium with Christopher Hebling: Hydrogen as the solution?

How can we resolve the energy trilemma between climate protection, security of supply, and economic efficiency?

Prof. Dr. Andreas Hebling from Fraunhofer ISE talks about green hydrogen, solar energy, e-fuels, and the future of energy.
