I made a partlet from a table cloth that I found in a charity shop some years ago. I bought it precisely for this, because there is no way I am making this kind of cut and drawn thread work.

Trying on my 16th century Venetian gown.
I needed to try it on before finishing the inside, so this is not how I will lace it in the end. If you look at art from the period, the ties are parallell, and I have an idea about how to fix that.
I am currently wearing my 18th century shift, because it was easy to reach.
