Here's some images from my visit to the British Library on August 3rd, about the massive collections of the library, including of a gallery displaying it's top treasures. I will be posting about this library for multiple days ahead. Some of these images are blurry, but I think most of them are clear. I especially like the sixth one which shows how organization of papers used to be completed, and others about what it looks like now. For a library which was established in July 1972 (and opened in July 1973), it has certainly become integral. #libraries #london #legaldeposit #religiousrecords #muslimlaw #lendinglibrary #patents #india #recordedsound #ireland #tudor #16thcentury #wyattsrebellion
