Get verified on X isn’t same as you add the “rel=me” flag at fediverse that helps you verified without any cost. Just add your websites the HTML code like

<a rel="me" href="https://yourwebsitedomain.ext">My Profile</a>

Change the example properties on your own actually Website and then, add your website URL on your profile, wait for a minute, and voila! You have verified checks that prove it’s your own website.

#fediverse #relme #howtoverify #verify

https://gitlab.com/-/external_redirect?rel=me&url=https%3A%2F%2Fmasto.es%2F%40DavidMarzalC

I wonder why large news organisations do not use rel="me" -
most use at least schema.org

publisher: {
"@type": "Organization",
logo: "https://cdn.prod.www.spiegel.de/public/spon/images/logos/der-spiegel-h60.png",
name: "DER SPIEGEL",
sameAs: [
"https://www.facebook.com/derspiegel",
"POTENTIAL_FEDI_URL"
]
}

Would you consider if above
"mainEntityOfPage" is the same like the canonical URL
and
any fedi profile links to this URL

that this is something like a
"verified publisher" relation ?

If you are using LinkStack to list your links, there is now support for

authentication.
Now you can add LinkStack as authenticated to Streams
Below is my external identities section

Behold: verified threads account id

#threads #relme #http

Meta's Threads adds rel=me support, so if you happen to be using Threads as well as Mastodon, you can do that cross-platform ID verification thing should you so choose.

you can now set rel=me links on threads! this means you can verify your threads profile on platforms like Mastodon. i had some fun learning about this obscure HTML attribute and wanted to share more what this is and what it means..

For anyone looking to get more out of mastodon I present Street Pass:

https://streetpass.social/

Her'es how it works

Mastodon users verify themselves by adding metadata to a website they own.

This metadata is often NOT clickable or even visible. it simply provides verification for mastodon.

This addon, scans for that metadata and collects them in a list, allowing you to easily find/follow the mastodon account of a page you've visited.

I wonder why neither the @signalapp nor the @Mer__edith account have a rel="me" verification with signal.org in their profile.

#RelMe #verification

How do you people verify your link to #PeerTube channel on #Mastodon? I tried https://peervideo.club/@vintprox that has a #relMe link to my associate TechHub profile, but it still doesn't lit green.

Content for your entertainment, because, apparently, I like doing some video montage. 😊 Right now, it's mostly just an archive of my YouTube channel. But you can interact with it in the wide Fediverse! 🦣 Mastodon 💬 Matrix 🎮 Discord 📺 YouTube
