Anyone around the Inner West have a USB Micro-B cable (the old standard feature-phone charging cables) they don't want? Needs a relatively slim form factor plug to fit a Wonderboom 2 to charge it.

My last remaining Micro-B is in storage that I can't get to and I can't bear to be the cause of yet another one being brought into the universe.

As a porridge family we eat a lot of honey. Only buy the glass jars as they can be recycled. But, they also make really cool glasses for drinks.

"Plastic bins: better than boxes"

I remember a nice "service" our local grocery store used to provide the community. They would "hold" and not break down the better cardboard boxes they had received in case one of us customers might need them for moving. Sometimes you'd have to find the guy in the back and ask him to do this. Never had them say no. Way better than using new boxes and probably better than anything plastic!

"While I have found that bringing my own takeout containers is easy enough to execute at casual establishments and mom-and-pop spots, there have been times at nicer places when I’ve felt self-conscious busting out my lowly Tupperware. Still, on recent fancier dinners out at Majordomo on the edge of Chinatown and at Spago in Beverly Hills, I put my self-consciousness aside and stopped wondering how this looked to any onlookers." #reduce_reuse_recycle https://la.eater.com/2024/2/7/24048583/bring-your-own-takeout-containers-to-restaurants-reduce-single-use-plastics
