My #LinkedIn profile is restored, was apparently an error and the employee was very friendly.
The big downside is that just two days after the restoration of my account, the Hedge Fund recruiter spam restarted (have to alter my spam filter).
Folks, I never wanted to and I will hever want to work for Hedge funds and "high speed trading platforms" - especially not for "companies" officially endorsing Trump, DeSantis or the whole Anti Diversity crowd. Period. Stop it.

Just seen an interesting bit of #recruiterSpam come in. They were looking for T1 helpdesk techs and the pay was actually better than we pay for that role. The interesting part is that they sent it to... OUR IT HELPDESK TICKETING SYSTEM.
Gotta admire the balls on that recruiter - and they found the perfect way of reaching their target audience.

Thinking about starting to reply to generic recruiter messages with generic replies.
Current idea: "Thanks for contacting me for your Open Source Full Remote Rust Senior Position. Your offer above of 175k p.a. sounds really nice, I am happy to discuss your options after you confirm 30 days of paid vacation and 100% flexible working hours, max 40 hours per week and guaranteed no tasks in the so-called "Crypto" area. Happy to hear from you!"
