Look at these beauties that have just arrived. I got all of them on Buyee for roughly 20€ each including handling fees, shipping and import taxes. The trick is buying several items over a period of less than 30 days and have them stuff everything into a single package. It saves a lot of money.

In an hour or so, I will begin my yearly rewatch of Record of Lodoss War. If you have not seen it, Lodoss--and I speak of the original 13 episode OVA, not the later TV series or the spinoff movie Crystania--is without a doubt the greatest capital-H capital-F High Fantasy anime ever made.
It is built upon solid and long-established fantasy tropes, and every single plot point is something you have seen before. Each character, you have met before. Like a James Bond movie, it is formulaic to a fault. Its excellence comes from its execution. From the lovingly-crafted world, to the beautiful art, the swelling music, all coming together to tell a tale you've heard a thousand times in a way that makes you want to hear it a thousand more.
There is nothing else like it and if you have not seen it, make it your New Year's resolution to do so.
I am too old to have grown up playing the Japanese console games that are very much incorrectly called "roleplaying games". They aren't #RPGs, they are video games with no roleplaying whatsoever.
Be that as it may, I am a rabid player of #FFXIV, and a rabid fan of #anime #manga that have #fantasy themes, going all the way back to the original #RecordOfLodossWar, which is based on an actual #DnD campaign played by the author(s).
