Die Selbstdokumentation von Künstler*innen in Web-Publikationen wird bisher nicht mediengerecht archiviert. Hier setzt unser Projekt #ArtDocArchive an.
Für den Prototyp wird sich auf Webseiten und Instagram als die derzeit häufigsten Anwendungsfälle konzentriert. Webseiten werden mit Webarchiving Tools gespeichert (Art Doc Web) und dann mit angepassten Parsern in strukturierte Daten überführt (Art Doc Parser). Bezogen auf Instagram werden die in den letzten Jahren in der EU entstandenen rechtlichen Ansprüche auf Datenexport genutzt, die Nutzer*innen erlauben, ihr eigenes Archiv zu exportieren. Diese Exporte werden mit Machine Learning verarbeitet und visualisiert (Art Doc Visualization).

Discussing the future of #collaborative #graph thinking.
"I guess one upcoming incentive for #semanticweb tech could be archiving and note keeping. For those that encounter so much info on feeds this could provide better private and collaborative means to collect stuff: ordering, selecting, describing, developing. I am thinking of the experience of using pinterest, #tumblr, #pinboard #obsidian, etc. as kind of cross-platform extensions to feeds and online collections."
I was in particular thinking of the pinboards and are.na walls of scholars like @shannonmattern @lozross and @miriamkp, which I see as examples of a scholarly practice of using boards/hashtags to build archives of posts and links.
Open semantic data in this field would mean freeing data from the feeds in more sustainable ways, beyond public bookmarks. #reclaimyourarchive

In a team of researchers and coders we are working with urbanepraxis.berlin on a software prototype, funded by the Senate for Culture in Berlin.
The prototype consists of a set of digital tools for archiving the documentation of art on the web, in feeds, blogs, websites.
The goal is to reclaim the art archives from the data silos, from feeds, from lost websites.
The prototype #artdocarchive will consist of a mirror/host, a parser and an interactive visualization.
Blog #reclaimyourarchive will launch soon, open source software prototyping happens until end of February.
